Background

I've spent over a decade at inner and outer frontiers, drawn to the threshold of the unknown where the new can be discovered and created.

2010–2014
I grew up in Vancouver and studied at McGill University, where I became fascinated with digital nomadism. After graduating, I left Canada to travel and work online.
2014–2017
I lived and worked across Southeast Asia, Europe, and the US, exploring a frontier community and growing a personal development blog to reach over a million people.
2018–2023
At 25, I founded Atman, one of the first legal psilocybin retreats. Atman hosted hundreds of people for safe, legal psychedelic experiences, many of which were among the most meaningful experiences of their lives.
2024–2025
Atman was acquired by Odyssey, where I served as interim COO.

A fuller picture of my background includes some things that didn't work out:

2014–2016
Various e-commerce businesses; no traction due to poor fundamentals.
2017
Grad school as a potential path into psychedelic research; accepted into a master's program at Columbia, decided not to attend after further vetting.
2018
Trading cryptocurrency; some success but didn't feel creative enough to be engaging long-term.
2020–2021
Ketamine telehealth startup; raised pre-seed funding, recruited team of doctors & therapists, failed due to cofounder issues. Closed project down and paid back investors.
2023
Psychedelic safety screening software; demo version received encouraging feedback from practitioners, decided not to pursue after further opportunity sizing.
